Coaching Coaching - Soccer SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:  The Assistant Soccer Coach is responsible for managing an intercollegiate soccer program to include recruiting, instructing, and coaching students and coordinating various program related activities. The Assistant Coach of the men and women’s soccer team is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by National Park College and the National Junior College Athletic Association.  

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Recruiting student-athletes that can be successful academically, socially, and athletically at National Park College Instruct and prepare the student-athletes for competition in the NJCAA Region 2, Division 2 Assist with scheduling games, coordinating game management, and providing academic advising for a small cohort of student-athletes Serve as the head coach for both the men and women soccer programs Serve as a part of the Admissions/Student Life team for National Park College Assist in the recruiting of both traditional and nontraditional aged student to NPC for the Admissions/Student Life team Attend college fairs, high school visits, and other events both on and off campus Assist with on campus Student Life events when needed Will perform other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills  Well-developed presentation skills  High level of attention to detail  Team oriented and self-starter  Self-motivated to take initiative  Effective critical thinking and communication skills  Ability to serve several roles as a part of a larger team Education and Experience:  Bachelor's degree required, Master’s preferred  ?  1-3 years of relevant experience in athletics preferably at the NCAA, NAIA, or NJCAA level Experience working in Admissions and Recruiting is preferred but not required Physical Requirements:  Prolonged sitting  Extensive walking  Prolonged screen time  Ability to lift 50 lbs
