Position:             Assistant Manager Utilities

Division:              Established Pharmaceutical Division - Operation

Location:             Karachi -Landhi Plant

Job Summary:

Smooth running of plant by ensuring that all equipment of Utilities is operating as per requirement and timely maintained while complying with EHS standards and policies.

Major Responsibilities:

                                                                                     

Ensure smooth running of utility equipment by ensuring that all equipment is properly and timely serviced and maintained                                                                                 Troubleshooting of Utilities Equipment to reduce downtime and increase productivityWork in Day or Night shifts (as per need) to provide effective maintenance and operational support to Manufacturing and plant operationsEnsure that the utilities crew take proper precautions and complies with all relevant safety procedures during the execution of their work      Maintain all personal protective equipment in working order and implement scheduled/preventive maintenance program of Utility department on monthly basis                                                                    Prepare duty roster of all utility staff and organize shift crew and ensure that all operation logs are filled and maintained by staff                                                                                                                    Maintain utility equipment under conditions, which meet applicable Abbott Policies, Local Regulatory & cGMP requirements, Abbott EHS, Engineering Standards rules, using approved documentationEnsure all Utility personnel are trained as per Training Master Program and EHS Training Program   Ensure all applicable EHS procedures and policies are followed and ensure conformance for Utilities and contractor staffEnsure all Utility SOPs are as per current practices and applicable Abbott and Local Standards/policies and update SOPs as and when needed       Participate in qualification activities of all Utility systems                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Support Utilities Manager in internal/external audits related to Utility department and ensure timely closure of CAPAs                                    

Education/Knowledge & Experience:

BE in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic3-4 years’ experience in the same capacity Knowledge of Operations, Maintenance, and Installation of Production Equipment and their Trouble shootingProficient in MS OfficeTeamwork and problem-solving skills
