Role OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Facility Manager specializing in soft services to join our team in Chennai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing soft services operations across a large-scale facility spanning 16 lakh sq ft (1.6 million sq ft). This role requires strong operational expertise and leadership to ensure exceptional service delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily soft services operations including housekeeping, reception, mail room, hospitality, landscaping, pest control, and waste management across the 1.6 million sq ft facilityImplement and monitor service delivery standards to ensure client satisfactionSupervise and coordinate with soft services team members and service providersConduct regular inspections and quality audits to maintain service excellenceManage operational budgets and control costs while maintaining service qualityEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulationsAddress client queries and resolve service-related issues promptlyPrepare and present performance reports to the Facility ManagerTrain and develop team members to enhance operational efficiencyCoordinate with other facility management teams to ensure integrated service deliveryQualificationsBachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Hospitality Management, or related field4+ years of experience in facilities management with focus on soft servicesProven experience managing large-scale facilities (preferably 1 million+ sq ft)Experience in supervising teams and vendor managementStrong knowledge of soft services operations and industry best practicesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsGood organizational and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in MS Office and facility management softwarePreferred SkillsKnowledge of CAFM systems and digital facility management toolsExperience with resource optimization and workflow managementUnderstanding of sustainability practices in facility operationsFamiliarity with industry standards and certifications (ISO, LEED, etc.)Knowledge of local regulations relevant to building maintenanceWhat We OfferCareer advancement opportunities within a global organizationProfessional development and training programsWork with diverse and high-profile clientsCollaborative and supportive work environmentJLL is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
