Job Description SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in sheet metal forming, fabrication, machining, NDT, chemical coatings, and heat treatment processes for precision aerospace products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AS9100, AS9102, APQP, PPAP, and NadCap processes, along with proficiency in CAD software and project management skills. This role will be responsible for New Product Introduction (NPI) developments, ensuring customer satisfaction, and delivering on business KPIs and metrics.

Site Overview:

Our Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune plays a crucial role in manufacturing key aerospace components, supporting not only India’s defense and commercial sectors but also global aviation supply chains. Our relationships with Indian suppliers, combined with our world-class local facilities and global reach, continue to shape India’s aerospace ecosystem

Roles and Responsibilities:

Design, Develop and implement manufacturing processes for Aerospace Tubes and Ducts including metal forming, fabrication, machining, NDT, chemical processing, and heat treatment to ensure high-quality precision products.

Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, including AS9100, AS9102, APQP, PPAP, and NadCap requirements.

Utilize CAD software such as Unigraphics and AutoCAD to design and modify tools, fixtures, and manufacturing layouts.

Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure precise and accurate product specifications.

own the New Product Introduction (NPI) projects in assigned part family with APQP implementation and support the product thru the lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and production, to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturing processes.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address production and quality issues.

Develop and maintain standard work instructions and process documentation.

Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Monitor and deliver on business KPIs and metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).

Stay current with industry trends and advancements in manufacturing technologies and processes.

Ideal Candidate:

Hands on experience into General Fabrication (Tubes & Ducts, Structures – combination machine parts, sheet metal parts)

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

3 to 6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering with 2 years minimum in the aerospace industry.

Knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, APQP, PPAP, and NadCap processes.

Proficiency in CAD software, including Unigraphics and AutoCAD.

Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Experience with the design and implementation of tools and fixtures.

Preferred Qualification:

Adequate project management skills

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Good knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies.
