**What we’re looking for:**
Serves as the Assistant Manager Instrumentation for the site. Specific responsibilities include:
+ To apply specialist, I&C engineering expertise to ensure the efficient operations of the Instrumentation and Controls Department at Ankleshwar site.
+ To ensure plant I&C equipment is maintained as per procedures documented in the Maintenance Management System.
+ To ensure downtime of the plant is reduced by careful planning and the implementation of Maintenance Practices of all plant equipment and efficient resolution of equipment defects.
+ To ensure necessary spares and consumables are available and manage the inventories as it relates to I&C equipment to ensure high availability of I&C Equipment.
+ Develop Safe Work Procedures and Operational Techniques to ensure proper execution of Plant Resources.
+ Ensures a safe working environment for himself and the I&C Technicians whilst working on any equipment.
+ Monitors the I&C Technicians and Contractors to ensure they follow the guidelines of Safe Work Practices as per Plant EHS Standards
+ Leads the I&C Maintenance Technicians and ensures a high level of efficiency within the team.
+ Builds and sustains a committed, cohesive and dynamic team.
+ Along with the Maintenance Manager, ensures I&C equipment maintenance planning is correctly scheduled so that all equipment is maintained as per OEM recommended interval.
+ Reviews I&C Maintenance Procedures and suggests improvements.
+ Supports reliable and accessible 24-hour engineering callout functionality.
+ Attempts all possible means of reducing equipment downtime and ensuring high plant availability.
+ Records and reports all rectification jobs undertaken to the Maintenance Manager.
+ Assists the Maintenance Manager in planning and budget preparation processes.
+ Coach, train and develop I&C Technicians on instrumentation equipment.
+ Serves as a member for all safety improvement plans/ideas to raise safety engagement.
+ Ensure timely compliance of Instruments Statutory Requirement
+ Ensure timely closure of Preventive and Maintenance work notification and its order in SAP S4 HANA
EHS responsibilities:
+ To follow site EHS procedure and best practices
+ Read and understand relevant procedure and perform the work safely.
+ Support site EHS in safety campaign, Safety observations to prevent the injuries.
+ Follow the site PSM procedure and implement the PSM culture.
**Required Knowledge/Skills:**
+ Demonstrate strong Safety leadership and good working knowledge on safe work practices, hazards associated with the I&C equipment and process safety management (PSM)
+ Effective communication, human relation and organizational skills to work effectively with team/workgroup or those outside the formal line of authority to accomplish organizational goals.
+ Possesses strong technical background & good analytical skills to support decision making.
+ Possesses a curious open mind to encourage Innovation.
+ Good spoken and written English.
+ Hands on Experience of Emerson Delta V DCS automation platform (Programming and Troubleshooting)
+ SAP S4 HANA MM & PM module
+ Knowhow of Plant Safety Instruments (SIS), PHA, HAZOP, LOPA and Fire & Gas Detection System
+ Skills to plan instrument jobs systematically with proper job prioritization and job coordination
**Required Experience:**
7-8 years of technical experience in the I&C dept. with Chemical, petrochemical or refinery industry
**Required Education:**
Min- Bachelor Degree in Instrumentation Engineering.
