Assistant Manager Indirect Tax
**Role Purpose** The role will be to carry out all indirect tax activities including tax compliances, business support activities, audit support and project management & support w.r.t tax activities. The incumbent would be required to plan and ensure qualitative delivery of tax returns, applying appropriate control checks and based on complete business understanding, as per the planned timelines. The role requires to ensure the correct accounting of indirect tax accounts and maintaining full proof reconciliations for any period close balances. **Key Accountabilities** + Preparing and Reviewing tax returns as per Indirect tax laws. + Ensure adherence to SOX requirements in process activities. + Recommend process improvements along with implementation after consulting team/manager etc. + To ensure that all day to day regulatory and filing requirements are done without any failure. + To ensure that any changes to the legislation/challenges/audit issues/foreseeable non-compliances are brought to the knowledge of the manager proactively. + To ensure that various processes/teams are educated about relevant changes and is implemented across BSC to make sure that our systems are complying with all such requirements/amendments. + To ensure that all information/replies/clarifications are provided to the authorities during assessments/audits done by government authorities. + To mark as a backup of the manager in case of any emergency/absenteeism. + Support on new hotel openings/setting up of tax structure etc. + Meeting the Targets on time by keeping the quality high. Always able to make alternative plan to meet the sudden change in requirements. **Key Skills & Experiences** **Education** CA/CWA/MBA(F) with minimum 3 years of experience or CA(I)/CWA (I) with more than 5 years’ experience **Experience** Strong accounting and tax background together with experience in audit and control checks. **Technical Skills and Knowledge** + Good conceptual understanding of indirect tax law and practical implications. + Working knowledge of ERP environment. + Experience will be required in Indirect Tax, P&L Analysis, Balance Sheet review and reconciliations, MIS reporting, possesses good analytical skills. + Good interpersonal skills + Person should follow the key controls & compliance requirements of the organization and understands the implication of non-compliances. + Ability to understand, interpret and provide information and support to meet the audit requirements for their respective regions for internal and external audits including SOX audits. + Possess good communication/presentation skills and overall a pleasing personality.
