Be Part of the Story as the Assistant Manager, Global Licensing, where you will assist in defining and executing the global business strategy for Disney, Star Wars, and Marvel Businesses.

This is a Full-Time position.
What You Will Do:Partner closely with Senior Manager to manage day-to-day global brand commercialization for the action figures and vehicles business including but not limited to:
Category Management:Assist in defining and executing the global business strategy for Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel for select global Toy licensees.
Support Senior Manager in everyday responsibilities such as:
Coordinating contract and amendment process
Work with & communicate category strategy and product line offering with internal partners, including internal creative partners, marketing, brand, finance, legal, and regional teams.
Oversee and manage the internal documents & secure access hierarchy
Oversee marketing approvals
Gathering financial analysis (& understanding Excel, pivots, etc.)
Preparing presentations
Other projects as necessary
Manage and provide product development oversight on behalf of licensing to ensure alignment with commercialization strategies are reflected in product submissions and ensure licensee product lines reflect Disney quality and brand/property objectives.
Oversee compliance of Disney Character Voice, music and sound integration for product & marketing use including trafficking all approvals and budgets.

Support regional share-outs for product milestones and gather regional feedback on products and consolidate into concise recaps.
Set up and run weekly & milestone meetings with licensee, Disney regional teams, product development, and brand teams – oversee the agenda and take & disseminate the meeting notes.
Provide all needed product and licensee information to regions for any sales & marketing needs and presentations
Partner with regional teams and sales in assortment/planning /pitches where relevant
Manage Licensee marketing approvals and support licensee marketing initiatives.
Oversee and submit approvals of licensee’s global marketing elements including global asset tool kits, television commercial development, short form content, social media, and supporting marketing partnership
Align all necessary marketing, promotional and legal approvals – navigating internal processes and systems with multiple stakeholders
Monitor to ensure timely & accurate feedback
Understanding of marketing and social media
Engage internal Marketing, Public Relations, and Social Media (YT) teams to drive awareness of key product lines as needed
Inform licensees in the development of all brand marketing initiatives (Brand decks, etc.)
Other Projects as needed including but not limited to:
Support partnering with other divisions (e.g. publishing, interactive) to build bigger brand programs.
Analyze and understand market trends, consumer trends, retailer and industry needs in preparation of annual business planning.
Complete analysis and help develop presentations in support of brand and category management

Required Qualifications and Skills:3+ years of related experience in Licensing or Brand Marketing
Strong understanding of brand and property positioning, retail business development function, retail distribution and the retail environment
Experience or high level of interest in the Toys category
Interest/knowledge of The Walt Disney Company brands/intellectual property
Strong understanding of licensees' production and creative capabilities/limitations is a plus
Excellent organizational, prioritization, project management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks/assignments
Strong communication/presentation/influencing skills
Team player with strong interpersonal skills
Self-starter, motivated, proactive, dependable, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Analytical/strategic thinker
Solid computer skills (Keynote, Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook)
Required Education:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $85,800 - $115,00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
