Assistant Manager - Functional Planning Finance

Performs monthly close responsibilities and provides management with accurate business results and analysis to support decision making and spending prioritization; leads initiatives to improve processes in admin forecasting and reporting. **In this role, you will:** **Lead the close and forecast processes for Marketing, Supply Chain and CREWS Functions. Annual budget for areas of responsibility is $250M.** + Lead the close processes including booking and approving journal entries to support accurate admin spending. Publish accurate actuals admin reporting & analytics to budget owners. Report performance versus forecast and identify key drivers of variances. + Lead the forecast processes including summarizing budget owners’ inputs, answering all questions from budget owners, and leading meetings with leadership to review forecast results. Proactively share own insights (including risks & opportunities) with budget owners, especially for budgets containing Profit Improvement Targets + Become an expert at new Digital Transformation tools (S4 and Anaplan) to accomplish work responsibilities and help develop training materials. + Leverage the new Digital Transformation tools to deliver process improvement ideas that will increase efficiency and improve quality of reporting. + Maintain strong process adherence to internal controls and accounting policies to ensure no material weaknesses or outages are identified. **Collaborate with cross functional partners to deliver results and meet functional admin objectives.** + Complete ad hoc analysis to assist SBU and functional leaders when making spending decisions. + Proactively identify if actual spending trends are resulting in favorability or unfavourability vs. Admin target. + As needed, help to train budget owners at all levels on our new tools. **Provide coaching and training to increase skills and technical knowledge of one direct report.** **\#LI-Hybrid** **What we look for:** + 5-10+ years of Finance and Accounting experience + Advanced English level - mandatory + Admin budget management experience + Experience supervising a direct report(s) + Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certification (Mexico equivalent) + Strong planning, organizing, communication, collaboration, presentation and influencing skills are essential to succeed in this role. + Strong knowledge of accounting theory, including journal entries and financial statements. Must be comfortable preparing and approving journal entries + Strong financial analysis skills + Effectively lead meetings and communicate key messages to senior leadership + Ability to take personal ownership to ensure timely response to customer needs and work proactively to find solutions + Ability to prioritize and manage workload for self and direct report + Microsoft Office suite expertise + Passion for developing a direct report’s skills and building team engagement + SAP Accounting modules experience **Desirable:** + Strong SAP S4 Hana knowledge + Strong Anaplan knowledge **Workplace type:** Hybrid role - 3 days in office, 2 days working from home. **We seek out and celebrate diverse backgrounds and experiences.
