Assistant Manager Corporate Tax

**Role Purpose**
The role will be to carry out corporate tax compliance across global jurisdictions, including preparing and reviewing tax returns, calculating liabilities, and ensuring timely statutory filings. The role involves monitoring regulatory changes, supporting audits and tax authority queries, maintaining SOX-compliant processes and driving continuous improvements. It also includes strategic tax planning for new initiatives and fostering collaboration with overseas tax teams.
**Key Accountabilities**
+ Prepare/Review Corporate tax returns and related documentation across assigned global jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
+ Oversee timely and accurate calculation of tax liabilities, ensuring compliance with local corporate tax laws and regulatory requirements.
+ Ensure all statutory tax filings, reconciliations and reports are completed within deadlines.
+ Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, assess their impact, and ensure necessary process or system updates are implemented.
+ Support tax authority queries, audits, and assessments; coordinate with external advisors and consultants as required.
+ Drive process improvements, maintain up-to-date SOPs and ensure adherence to SOX and internal control requirements.
+ Support tax structuring, planning, and impact analysis for new projects and business initiatives, including preparation of supporting documentation.
**Key Skills & Experiences**
**Education** Graduate Diploma in Financial Management/ CA/CWA/MBA(F)
**Experience** With at least 3 years’ professional/management experience in taxation and compliance.
**Technical Skills and Knowledge**
+ Strong understanding of corporate tax regulations, with knowledge of international tax laws preferred, and their practical implications across jurisdictions.
+ Good working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably PeopleSoft.
+ Experience in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns, P&L analysis, balance sheet review, reconciliations, and other tax-related reports possess strong analytical skills.
+ Ability to interpret tax implications of business operations and provide practical recommendations.
+ Good interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and auditors.
+ Adherence to key controls and compliance requirements, with a clear understanding of the implications of non-compliance.
+ Ability to interpret and provide information to meet audit requirements, including internal, external, and SOX audits.
+ Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly.
+ Proficiency in MS Office applications and strong overall computer skills.
+ Willingness to travel and flexibility to work across different time zones or shift timings as required.
