Job Summary
We are looking for an Assistant Manager to work with our Asia Pacific Quote team. This role is responsible to manage, train and ensure optimum support for Asia pacific centralized Budgetary Quote Support team, Nippon Fisher Quote support team, Industry Support team, Inter BU team, VSO, Inter-CO and AP Life cycle Services Support team. Perform Sizing and selection of control valves using proprietary FisherFirst2 software. Prepare Technical and Commercial Quote, technical deviations' list, generate reports, drawings. Contact GIS teams for any technical/special price requirements will be an added responsibility of certain Key Project as individual contributor in addition to Managing the team.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Leading a team of engineers, guiding and mentoring them. Train New hires and integrate them into the Asia Pacific quote support team. Liase with LBP, Sales office, Singapore SD&S, Regional Sales to understand the requirements and deliver the quote and support accordingly. Identify key talents from the team for organization review and backup plans. Constantly liaise with collaborators with eye for new opportunities for Engineers and organization. Support Error Check for Engineers and act as Final Critical issue point for the entire team’s support from collaborators. Apart from team management, as an Individual contributor you will also be responsible to Review and prepare project guidelines for quotations based on technical specification on need basics. Drive MIB based product selection for quotes. Maintain record and send in monthly report to collaborators. Who You Are:You have a breakthrough thinking with a can-do attitude. For This Role, You Will Need: A degree in engineering and experience in leading the team. Hands on knowledge and experience of control valves sizing & selection. Good interpersonal and communication skills Creating portfolios as evidence for your competency element as part of structured continued further education in engineering. Awareness of internal and industry standards as related to position responsibility (preferred). Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Degree in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering. Minimum 8-9 years of experience in control valves. Strong interpersonal skills and able to pitch the solution for applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ready to take up any new challenges.
