Assistant Manager, Quality

Key Purpose of the Job:

To lead and manage a highly capable team of quality engineers who are focus on continuous improvement on quality and delivering product that meet or exceed customers’ expectationTo management factory quality performance thru execution of key quality program-VCP and upstream preventionsTo be a key point of contact and partner for the brands and the regional sourcing partnersTo assist the Regional Quality Manager in delivering Quality Operation Excellence

Key Area of Responsibility:

Quality Management

Evaluate new vendors to identify factory quality set up, technical support, and product capability & production capacity.Support and train VF teams and factories on SOPs and projects executionSupport conducting Factory Process Audit and coaching QE/QA/SQE and FKR how to conduct itProactively seek for opportunity for upstream prevention management and mitigate risk by using Risk Base program to best allocate resource needed.Manage and appropriately escalate risks, issues and points of concern to Regional ManagerWith the support of data analytics, manage vendor performance and drive continuous improvement within the supply base and within your teamFoster a strong culture of continuous improvementCultivate talent development pipeline and provide guidance to associates towards their career aspirationContinually reviews ways of working, process alignment and team capabilities to optimize efficienciesEnsure the team are fully aware of their respective roles & responsibilities and that they have the tools to do their jobEnsure there is a high degree of engagement between the team at brand, vendor and regional cross functional teamsEngaged/participate on projects and actively identify, propose new ideas for projects. Create opportunities for the team to be involved in cross brand / cross functional activities

Strategic Role Relationship Building

Build close working relationship with counterparts from brands and Asia Product Supply, build collaborative working culture with customers’ best interest in mind.

Leadership

Manage the day to day operational needs of the team as well as performance management, succession planning and coaching support with IDPTo show empathy and provide the right levels of support to the team when changes are being implemented.To effectively communicate and break down complicated information in order to clearly convey messages to influence and persuade within the team as well as across other functional teams
