About The Role
The Assistant Manager, Product Stewardship will play a key role in offering guidance and support to our operation team, sales organization and product developers. This position involves proactively addressing compliance risks related to current and future product safety regulations, providing insights, recommendations, and solutions to the management team to navigate challenges effectively. How You Will Do It
Provide product stewardship to secure “license to operate” of businessManage responses to customer enquiries regarding product safety and regulatory compliance.Collaborate with global product safety team to manage EHS master data of products and raw material in database which is used to generate safety datasheet and labelling.Monitor changes on chemical regulations to evaluate the impact and develop mitigation plans of responsible product category.Provide expert guidance to innovation projects with regulatory assessment to ensure safety & compliance of ingredients, raw materials, and finished productsCollaborate with country expert to provide guidance to implement compliant trade control, customs declaration and country safety datasheet & labelling in supply chains.Coordinate toxicology and ecotoxicology studies and complete regulatory registration requirements when introducing products to new market (e.g. chemical inventory and REACH-like regulation).Collaborate with multi-function teams to support issue and crisis management with creative yet sound regulatory solutionsManage digitization and lead implementation of IT tools, intranet portal and database for product stewardship tasksConduct product safety trainings for responsible product category.Support cross business management projects as required.
What We Look For
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field.3 to 5 years of experience in product stewardship, EHS or similar roles within the chemical industry.Extensive knowledge about global chemical regulations and industry standards.Strong working knowledge of Polymer Chemistry, value chain and safe handling in plant operations.Experience with chemical regulations, including GHS, safety datasheet, product declaration and registrations.Knowledge of thermoplastics compounding is a plus. Understanding of quality standard, particularly ISO9001, is beneficial. Strong organisational and interpersonal skills in multicultural environmentProject Management skills are a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
