Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager, Pharma Commercial Analytics-Data Science
As part of the Commercial Analytics Data Science team, you will transform raw commercial data into strategic insights through advanced analytics and machine learning. This role blends strong technical skills with business understanding to drive data-informed decisions across the pharma brand portfolio.
Responsibilities
· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define data logistics including structure, specifications, and transfer mechanisms.
· Build analysis-ready datasets through data integration, transformation, and rigorous QA/QC processes.
· Apply statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to uncover patterns, predict outcomes, and support brand strategy.
· Document analytical workflows and articulate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders and project managers.
· Conduct deep-dive analyses using programming tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and platforms like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and DoubleClick.
· Translate complex analytics into actionable insights that enhance targeting, segmentation, and campaign effectiveness.
· Analyze datasets like LAAD, APLD, Xponent, Prescriber-level data to answer business questions and to create data models which would be further used for data modelling and visualization.
· Perform statistical analysis like descriptive analysis, test-control matching, PSM, etc. for various use cases.
· Use techniques like classical machine learning (Regression Clustering), XGBoost, Decision Trees, etc. for predictive analysis.
· Build and maintain data pipelines on Databricks using PySpark, Python, and SQL.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications
· Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
· experience in data analytics or data science, preferably in the pharma/healthcare or life sciences domain.
· Highly skilled in Data science statistical techniques
· Proficiency in Python/R, PySpark and SQL
· Strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering), and experiment design (e.g., A/B testing, test vs control).
· Familiarity with commercial pharma datasets (e.g., IQVIA, APLD, CRM, digital engagement data) and digital analytics tools (e.g., Adobe, Google Analytics, DoubleClick).
· Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
· Ability to communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and business-relevant manner.
· Ability to work cross-functionally with business and technical teams
· Experience in using and integrating GenAI methods (OpenAI API, Copilot integration, ThoughtSpot)

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity
Location-based Roles: This role is Based out of Philadelphia or Rayleigh. It’s hybrid role with onsite presence required for 2-3 days a week.
