From the exceptional service at the check-in counter to the departure gate, and even behind the scenes making sure your checked bags arrive with you, our Airport Operations team keeps operations at our airports running smoothly every single day.
Plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence and business continuity across airport functions. This position is responsible for leading both internal teams and external business partners to deliver consistent, high-quality services that support safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Requires a blend of leadership, financial acumen, and performance oversight to drive continuous improvement and efficient resource planning. The role also serves as a strategic liaison between front-line operations and cross-divisional stakeholders, ensuring alignment on key priorities and standards.
Operational Leadership
Lead and direct daily business operations and dispatch functions, managing both internal teams and external business partners to ensure consistent, safe, and compliant service delivery across all functional areas.
Vendor & Partner Performance Management
Oversee Business Partner operations and ensure contractual obligations are met, including SLA adherence, regulatory compliance, and quality standards. Conduct audits, performance reviews, and escalate issues in partnership with Vendor Planning and corporate governance processes.
Team Development & Leadership
Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and administrative staff to foster accountability, engagement, and high performance. Provide feedback, leadership development, and ensure adherence to United’s cultural and operational values.
Performance Monitoring & Issue Resolution
Track KPIs, analyze operational and safety trends, and lead issue resolution efforts. Collaborate with station leadership and stakeholders to drive improvements in service quality, efficiency, and compliance.
Process Improvement & Resource Planning
Develop and implement initiatives focused on staffing plans, cost control, process improvement, and change management to support long-term strategic objectives.
Safety, Compliance & Training Oversight
Manage operational safety programs, compliance initiatives, and mandatory training for both internal staff and vendors. Partner with Safety, Security, and Quality Assurance teams to conduct investigations, enforce safety standards, and support accident review boards.

The base pay range for this role is $79,800.00 to $103,966.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
