This role is responsible for performing all Business Continuity Management (BCM) Program with guidance from the Business Continuity Management and Occupational Safety and Health (BCMOSH) Head. This responsibility includes Crisis Management/Incident Coordination for Manulife Philippines and Manulife Chinabank. This role reports to the BCMOSH Head, MP.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall management of the BCM Program of MP with guidance from BCMOSH HeadConducts Risk Assessments to be used as basis for Business Continuity Plan DevelopmentWork with BCP Coordinators in the development of plans and testing of the Business Continuity Strategy together with DR Coordinator and technical teams in the testing of Disaster Recovery StrategiesMonitor completion and development of each Business Units Business Continuity Plan and Application Support Recovery Plan.Provide guidance and expertise to relevant stakeholders in complying with the requirements of the Global Business Continuity Management Policy / Standards / Procedures and applicable local regulationsEnsure that minimum business operational and technology requirements are met in the recovery and continuity of critical business processesMaintain and monitor BCM related data, dashboards, scorecards, KPIs and KRIsConduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and ensure alignment of business and technology recovery objectivesProvide advise and guidance in formulating BC strategies based on business needs, industry trends and best practicesCoordinate the revisions required to existing BCPs, as necessitated by any approved organizational, procedural, technology and environmental changesPlan and facilitate the required BC tests and exercises, ensure the documentation of the results and findingsEnsure the proper documentation of changes in the BCPs as a result of testingContribute to broader business continuity strategies that support the direction of the team or business segment, enhancing overall strategic impactStrengthening risk management practices to effectively lead projects with significant risk and complexityFoster strong partnerships with various departments and business units to ensure BCM strategies are integrated into operational processes and aligned with organizational goalsImplement training and awareness programs to all staff on Emergency Preparedness and Business Recovery.To ensure 24/7 support availability for incident response activities that may result in business disruption and require BCP invocationFunction as alternate Safety OfficerMonitors incidents which can potentially cause prolonged business disruptionProvides advisory to incident management teams and staff as necessary, depends on the current situationRequired Qualifications:
College GraduateAt least 5+ years of experience in Business Continuity Management with involvement in the full BCM lifecycle activitiesExperience and working knowledge on incident/Crisis Management and Disaster RecoveryCertification from Business Continuity Institute (CBCI), DRI International (CBCP), or higher is preferredProficient methodical experience in Business Continuity Management professional practicesExperience in Business Continuity Management Software and Emergency Notification SystemsWorking knowledge of the Insurance and/or Banking industry environmentGood Program Development and ManagementOrganized, detail-oriented with strong focus to deliver targeted outcomesStrong interpersonal skills to interface with stakeholders of various levels in the organizationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSafety Officer experience and credentials are an advantage, especially in environments where occupational safety and health are closely integrated with business continuity planningWhen you join our team:
