This role offers hands-on experience coordinating daily operations, managing precision equipment protocols, and leading facility enhancement projects in an innovative materials science research environment. **Location** : Onsite in Pasadena, CA **Hours** : M-F 8-5 **Type** : 1 year Contract to hire **Pay** : $40-$48/hour **Key Responsibilities** + Coordinate daily cleanroom and nanofabrication operations while supervising technical staff including researchers, engineers, and laboratory technicians. + Develop and implement maintenance schedules and operational procedures for advanced materials processing and characterization equipment. + Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain comprehensive documentation of all laboratory procedures and protocols. + Monitor team performance and provide mentorship to support professional development in materials science and nanofabrication techniques. + Stay current with emerging nanofabrication technologies, materials science advances, and recommend improvements to laboratory capabilities. + Participate in strategic planning sessions and provide regular progress updates to senior management. **Minimum Requirements** + Associate degree or equivalent technical certification in engineering, materials science, physics, chemistry, or related technical field. + Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with laboratory equipment maintenance, operations, or technical support in research environments. + Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in technical, laboratory, or manufacturing settings. + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail and precision. + Physical ability to lift equipment up to 20 pounds and work in cleanroom environments. _This job description is a complete list of all desired skills, but not all are required.
