Job Description:

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is looking for an Assistant Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for the USARPAC MTCCS Contract at our Ft Wainwright Alaska (FWA) site.

HOW AN ASSITANT ISSO WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

The Assistant ISSO implements, manages and monitors security software applications and resolves system errors and inefficiencies. Assists the ISSO in implementation and documentation of policies and procedure within the Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems. (Windows Server and Linux)Maintain security software applications to include Trellix, ESS and Tenable ACASImplements and assists in defining security policies, procedures, collection, and refinement of artifacts within the scope of RMFMaintains system documentationDevelops and implements backup recovery. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies assigned Implements DISA STIGs and IAVM patching for specified systems within the network enclave boundaryConducts routine entries/ Inputs into the Enterprise Mission Support Service (eMASS) on behalf of the FWA Mission Training Complex (MTC) facilityMust be able to work with other members of the team and willing to cross train on like systems. Must be able to work with other employees for the accurate portrayal of organizational and operational activities during all simulation exercisesReviews and updates network requirements for accuracy, and compliance with applicable doctrineParticipates in special projects as requiredHave the ability to work independently with minimum supervision and to perform shift work when required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field – preferred (Not Required)

Experience: 3-5 years of directly related experience supporting information systems operations and training. 5 years experience - preferred

Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance required to start; Must be able to obtain Top Secret

Certifications: Required DoD 8570.O1M/ 8140.03 IAT Level II Certified CompTIA Security+; Preferred - Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA);  CySA+, CASP+, etc;

Required Technical Skills:

Primary systems: Windows

Experience with maintaining and operating HBSS and ACAS scans

Experience with DoD and DISA RMF Framework

Experience in REDHAT, Linux

Experienced in applying patches/ updates and STIGs

Familiar with virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)

Familiar with Microsoft Server 2016/ 2019 or newer

Additional Requirements:

Include lifting, bending, and climbing as required to support military exercises and training

Occasional travel in support of the MTCCS USARPAC Contract.

Must have a valid driver’s license

The likely salary range for this position is $69,264 - $89,700. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
