\n\nHilton Istanbul was the first modern hotel built in Europe after the Second World War.\nHilton Istanbul appears in the opening scene of 1963’s From Russia with Love, starring Sean Connery as James Bond.\nIstanbul’s first discotheque, Cloud 9, opened at Hilton Istanbul in 1972.\nPilsen Pub, built in Hilton Istanbul in 1972, was the home of Istanbul’s first happy hour.\nMuhammad Ali was staying at Hilton Istanbul when he announced his retirement from boxing in 1976.\nHilton Istanbul has hosted royalty, politicians, and famous figures including Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren, and Louis Armstrong.\n\n

THE ROLE:

We are looking for the potential candidate for Assistant Group, Conference & Events Manager position in our Legendary Hotel Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus.

What will I be doing?

\n

As an Assistant Group, Conference & Events Manager, specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nTo respond to all Customers in a manner which is both professional and efficient and in line with Brand Standards \nTo actively convert customer enquiries into confirmed sales, handle all customer enquiries with a professional telephone manner and demonstrate high standards of customer service  \nTo build strong working relationships with our clients and develop an understanding of their specific needs and requirements concentrating on larger accounts to develop future/repeat business for the Hotel\nTo conduct showrounds, pre-con meetings, menu tasting if requested.\nFollow up with clients before, during and after the function/event/stay to ensure repeating the business. \nTo ensure accurate and up-to-date customer records in Delphi and that all best practices are followed and maintained\nAware of trends and able to propose strategies to build the range and quality of GC&E\nMaintain exceptional levels of customer service\nEnsure compliance of brand standards\nEvaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement\nSets and creates activities in Delphi system, and ensures they are completed timely through activity reports.\nEnsures timely and proper follow up on all activities, follow-up dates and decision dates as per standard procedures and contracts.\nTo ensure maximisation of sales and revenue for the hotel by being aware of all sales opportunities within all areas of the hotel.\nTo answer incoming telephone calls within three rings and deal with C&B enquiries in an efficient and friendly manner, as described in the Brand Standards.\nTo prepare the group contract for the client and ensure the pro-forma invoice is sent in time.\nPrepare the group file with all details and ensures hand-over to In-House department \nTo make sales calls in order to confirm new enquiries and attend client events\nManage and support all GC&E sales operations for Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus \nProvide effective leadership to the GC&E team to ensure targets are met and exceeded both for the hotel and individual development \nOptimal communication and cooperation with other departments in the hotel to create an exceptional Guest experience \nTake part in Communication Meetings on a regular basis.\nGive correct information to fellow Team Members and/or to guests regarding the hotel and/or Hilton International. \nDevelop and maintain excellent product knowledge and use it to deliver the benefits of the product to the client \nTo obtain full knowledge of competitors’ products to understand the market place\nEnsure full equipment & cleanliness & tidiness in the office\n\n
