Job Description
Assistant General Manager
We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Assistant General Manager to assist the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the hotel. This role provides leadership across multiple departments to ensure exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, and financial profitability.
What will you do?
Team Leadership:
Assist the General Manager in monitoring and developing the performance of team members across Front Desk, Housekeeping, Breakfast, and Maintenance departments.
Recruit, interview, and train new team members while ensuring mandatory brand training is completed.
Provide coaching, feedback, and support to department heads and staff members.
Operational Excellence:
Review operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
Implement action plans to address deficiencies and drive continuous improvement.
Uphold company and brand standards, policies, and procedures across all departments.
Guest Satisfaction:
Work closely with all departments to ensure guest satisfaction goals are consistently achieved.
Oversee service quality, operational efficiency, and compliance with brand standards.
Act as Manager on Duty as needed to address guest concerns and provide leadership support.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Prepare staff schedules in alignment with company standards and labor requirements.
Assist the General Manager with accounting responsibilities, including financial tracking and reporting.
Ensure proper use of the Property Management System (PMS) and maintain a working knowledge of all hotel operations.
About you:
Experience: Previous leadership experience in hospitality or a similar operational role is preferred.
Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in hotel operations systems (e.g., PMS) and ability to analyze performance metrics.
Ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve operational goals.
Flexibility: Willingness to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
