Delaware North Sportservice is searching for an Assistant General Manager to join our team at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. We are seeking a Food and Beverage leader with over 5+ years of food and beverage experience who will oversee our suites, clubs, catering, restaurants, concessions, and retail operations.

Pay

Minimum \u2013 Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $119,500 - $161,300 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?Assist General Manager in setting short- and long-term departmental goals and objectives that cover a range of areas, including people development, company policies and operating budgetsOversee season planning process ensuring alignment with Delaware North, client expectations, and operational goalsEngages in the financial goals of the operation with support from the General Manager in budget planning, P&L management, financial reporting, action plans, and projections to ensure cash, inventory, and payroll procedures are in placeReview financial reports and developing action plans to best achieve business goalsCollaborate with culinary leadership and partners to drive menu development and associated operational enhancementsIdentify opportunities and drive continual improvement in our location operationsHire, train, and develop the team and ensure all team members at the unit are supported and managed effectively to provide an optimal experience for guests and team membersConducts regularly scheduled meetings to ensure lines of communication are open between management and team membersBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, guests, subcontractors, not-for-profits and Delaware North team membersMaintains state, federal and business compliance, including responsible alcohol service guidelines, safety and sanitation standards, and client requirementsSpecial projects as assigned by upper management

More about youA minimum of 5 years of food and beverage leadership experience in a high-volume arena, ballpark, or stadium setting is requiredPrior experience working in a multi-sport property a plusBachelor's degree in hospitality, Business Management, or a relatable discipline is preferredOperational financial management, profit and loss management, financial reporting, and budgeting are requiredAbility to build foundational relationships with excellent oral, written, and communications skillsStrong commitment to client and guest engagement will be critical to this individual's successPrior labor relations, union exposure, and CBA negotiations preferredAbility to lead and make decisions in a fast-paced high-pressure environmentStrong technical skills and POS system experience required
