Job Description
SUMMARY: The Assistant General Counsel (Employment) is primarily responsible for: (a) handling pending and threaten employment litigation, disputes, EEOC charges, etc.; (b) advising on employment legal matters; and (c) providing advice with respect to employment law policies and investigations. The Assistant General Counsel (Employment) has a strong corporate employment litigation and advisory background.

LITIGATION
Oversee and direct all external employment-related litigation, arbitrations and similar contentious proceedings, including conducting early case assessments and developing litigation goals as needed, oversee and select external counsel, advise on settlement strategies and assist with appropriate ASC 450 reserve setting activities
ADVISE
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Juris Doctor degree AND10+ years of relevant private practice and in-house experienceMust be a licensed attorney from an accredited law school with good credentials and stable work historyCertificates and Licenses: Active State Bar License

This position is virtual and open to residents of the 50 states and Washington, D.C.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
We anticipate the salary range to be $145,653.75-233,046.00. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
