Who will you be working with?
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Controller to join our team at the LH Group (a Division of Wabtec UK Ltd), based in Barton-Under Needwood we support our customers through maintenance and operation optimisation with customised solutions for spare parts, repair, and overhaul activities on existing trains.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:30pm and Friday 08:00am to 13:00pm, 37 hours per week

How will you make a difference?
Wabtec UK Ltd has gone through a period of change over the last 18 months, driving significant transformation within the business.
The Finance team at Barton has been instrumental in supporting this, and we are now looking for an experienced Finance professional to join the team and support with the continued growth of the business.
In this role you will support the Financial Controller across 4 different business units, ensuring accurate and timely financial information whilst maintaining a robust control environment.
What will your typical day look like?
Support the Financial Accountants and Project controllers during month-end activities, advising on accounting treatment and driving accurate results.Support the Financial Controller in the coordination of the Shared Service Team for month-end and reporting activities.Support the business in the creation of budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term strategic plans.Support weekly Working Capital Management and present to the UK Group as required.Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and the relevant statutory accounting standards (UK & US GAAP).Ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and supporting corporate audits.Act as deputy to Financial Controller during annual external audit and drive close with minimal adjustments.Support with quarterly VAT returns and monthly intra-stat.Management of the FX risk and hedging position across all businesses.What do we want to know about you?
Qualified by experience or you will be part-qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).Experience in presenting financial data.
