With minimal oversight or assistance, this role involves the comprehensive compilation and in-depth analysis of complex payroll and financial data. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset in creating and meticulously examining monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as well as bi-weekly payroll reporting. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring the utmost accuracy and integrity of all recorded financial information, leveraging their expertise to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for potential optimization. The above represents the standard Corporate Policy.Key Responsibilities:Reports to Finance Manager.Responsible for payroll process for the location.Responsible for oversight of fare collection process, and oversight of revenue clerks.Assists with aspects of month end close, including fare reconciliation, wage transfers, variance analysis and financial statement preparation at the direction of the Finance Manager.May be required to assist the inventory management team to ensure compliance with company standards.Assist Finance Manager with certain client reporting and accounts payable functions.May be required to assist Finance Manager with monthly DBE & KPI reporting, LD analysis, department expense & overtime reporting, pay & benefit accrual discrepancy investigation and other projects or tasks as required.Assist Finance Manager with the review of subcontractor invoices for accuracy and proper allocation to jobs.Additional duties as assigned by General Manager and/or Finance Manager.Qualifications:2-5 years of experience in an accounting management roleBachelor's degree in accounting (preferred)Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principlesStrong knowledge of payroll, accounting, cost controls, and job costingAbility to understand and review complex billing and job costing concepts.Proficient in MS Office products, including Microsoft Excel and Adobe AcrobatKnowledge of automated account system such as J.D. Edwards SystemKnowledge of automated payroll system such as ADPAbility to effectively communicate, both in writing and verbally, and make recommendations.Able to work as a team player with a willingness to be flexible and adaptable to change.Open to development of skills and knowledgeExcellent customer serviceSubject to DOT drug testing.
