Assistant Field Hockey Coach
Job Description: OHIO Athletics is a dynamic team of student-athletes, coaches and administrators with a vision to demonstrate unprecedented excellence in athletics, academics and student-athlete development. This position is responsible to the head field hockey coach for providing coaching expertise to the intercollegiate field hockey program; assist with the effective management and administration of all aspects relating to a positive and beneficial intercollegiate experience for student-athletes. 1. Teaching and coaching student-athletes to develop and acquire the tactical, technical, and physical knowledge required to be a competitive Division I intercollegiate level student-athlete. Responsible for skill instruction and development during individual and team practices, and competition. 2. Talent assessment and recruiting. Assists in conducting a successful recruiting program to identify and cultivate outstanding student- athletes to Ohio University. 3. Assist with the administration of the field hockey program and team travel arrangements. Ensure the field hockey program is in compliance with NCAA , Mid-American Conference, and Ohio University regulations. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Collegiate field hockey coaching experience.
