Job Summary
The Department of Recreational Services is seeking staff to supervise the Recreation Center for the fall and winter semesters. Staff will be responsible for helping create a welcoming and safe environment, and must have prior experience working in a recreation facility or similar setting with minimal supervision. Shifts will be early mornings with some evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities*Opening and closing the buildingProviding quality customer serviceUnderstanding front desk and weight room policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include assisting student staff while responding to emergencies and providing first aid when necessary. Required Qualifications*Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasionAbility to obtain CPR/AED First Aid certification.Experience working in a recreation setting.Modes of WorkOnsite
The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan.
