Job Summary:As Assistant Executive Housekeeper, you will support the housekeeping leadership team in ensuring guest rooms and public areas are impeccably clean, organized, and ready to exceed expectations. You’ll help lead the department through daily operations, team training, inspection routines, and guest service follow-up. This role is ideal for a service-oriented leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about maintaining high standards and team morale.
Key Responsibilities:Supervise and support housekeeping staff during daily shifts, ensuring all rooms and public areas meet Hyatt cleanliness standards.
Inspect guest rooms and public areas, reporting maintenance concerns and ensuring timely completion of work orders.
Coordinate room status and priorities with the Front Desk team.
Follow up on guest requests, complaints, and special service needs, ensuring resolution and communication with appropriate departments.
Help prepare and stage VIP and special-request rooms.
Support the onboarding and training of new housekeeping team members.
Step in to assist team members with tasks during high-volume or urgent periods.
Maintain clean, organized work areas and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
Participate in leadership meetings, trainings, and department planning efforts.
Monitor staff productivity and contribute to department scheduling and coverage decisions.
Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience, with prior leadership experience strongly preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a team-focused approach.
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently; Spanish language skills are helpful.
Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Familiarity with productivity tracking, housekeeping scheduling, and hotel operations.
Basic math and computer skills; ability to learn and use hotel systems and reporting tools.
Physical & Safety Requirements:Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, and lift throughout a full shift.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working in guest-facing and back-of-house areas in a fast-paced environment.
Adherence to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
