Sandy Springs, GA, USA | Hourly | 19.00-21.00 per hour | Full Time Cherokee Town & Country Club in Sandy Springs, GA is seeking a full-time Assistant Equipment Technician / Mechanic to join our golf course maintenance team. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys fixing things, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a supportive and fun team environment. What You'll Do: As an Assistant Equipment Technician / Mechanic, you'll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical issues in a variety of golf course maintenance equipment. Your daily tasks will include: + Performing inspections and preventative maintenance on mowers, tractors, and small engines + Grinding reels and bed knives, sharpening rotary blades to keep mowing equipment in top shape + Diagnosing and repairing both gasoline and diesel-powered engines + Following proper procedures for recycling and disposal of fluids (oil, antifreeze, filters, etc.) + Keeping the work area safe, clean, and organized + Reporting equipment needs and repair concerns to the Equipment Manager or Superintendents What We're Looking For: + Experience with small engine repair (2-cycle and 4-cycle) + Prior experience sharpening mower blades + Valid driver's license with a clean driving record + Ability to lift/move heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions + Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset Are you organized, safety-conscious, and great at troubleshooting?
