Job Summary
The Assistant Director, Medical/Surgical oversees the daily operations of the Orthopedic and Neurosurgery unit, ensuring high-quality patient care, staff engagement, and operational efficiency. This role is responsible for supervising nursing care delivery, implementing quality improvement initiatives, and driving departmental performance in alignment with organizational goals. The Manager fosters a collaborative environment, promotes professional development, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards to achieve exceptional patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.

Associate Degree in Nursing required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred 3-5 years of acute care nursing experience required 1-3 years of leadership or management experience in a Med/Surg or acute care setting preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of medical/surgical nursing practices, regulatory standards, and quality improvement methodologies. Leadership and team-building skills to foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Analytical skills to evaluate performance metrics, identify trends, and implement data-driven solutions. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with staff, patients, and interdisciplinary teams. Financial management acumen to oversee budgets and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.Licenses and Certifications
RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required BCLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) required
