Join the team of Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol as Assistant Director of Housekeeping.  On the stunning southern coast of Mexico’s Baja peninsula, experience Cabo’s Golden Corridor, ideally located between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo.  In the heart of all the action, the coveted community of Cabo Del Sol is home to our modern hacienda-style village, with sparkling ocean views throughout. Create magical memories as hearts beat to the rhythm of Mexican music, art and culture – embraced by the warmth of our Four Seasons “familia.” This ultra-luxury ocean-front resort will include 96 beautifully appointed guestrooms and 61 Residences,  Amenities will include three restaurants, five bars, three pools, an open-air fitness center designed by celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, Spa with ten treatment rooms and relaxation oasis, and The Clubhouse.  The Clubhouse is perched above the resort with sweeping Ocean views, and it is being designed as THE place to host spectacular weddings and events for up to 250 people.  It will feature and event lawn for ceremonies, an indoor/outdoor ballroom, living room space for entertaining, and a bridal suite.

The role of the Assistant Director of Housekeeping

The Assistant Director of Housekeeping ensures that our guest accommodation and all areas front and back of house are maintained in a spotless condition at all times.

Knowledge and Skills

At least 2~3 years of relevant work experience in Luxury Hotel.

Engaging interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving ability

Strong supervisory and managerial skills are essential, with outstanding demonstrated coaching and development skills.

Must be able to work flexible shifts including, AM's, PM's, weekends, and holidays.

Proficient in Hotel property management systems, in particular Opera.

Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed accuracy, and thorough follow through.

Must be fluent in reading, writing and spoken English language skills.

Requires a working knowledge of the housekeeping aspect of services, policies or operations and general knowledge of the hotel.

This hotel has a residential component. Prior experience in a mixed-use residential hotel is beneficial, though not required.

Essential Functions

Train housekeeping employees in order to achieve the standards of cleanliness in guest rooms.

Conduct performance evaluations in accordance with hotel policies.

Make recommendations and follow through on disciplinary action for assigned staff.

Inspect every room daily in assigned buildings.

Monitor the performance of floor housepersons to there are sufficient supplies in the guest areas and all areas are maintained according to standards.

Participate in the inventories of guest supplies, linen and cleaning supplies.

Participate in the annual housekeeping and expenses labor budget preparation.

Coordinate engineering work orders for assigned areas and follow-up inspections.

Coordinate cleaning schedules for villa attendants and house attendants of deep cleaning items.

Participate in the daily scheduling of villa attendant assignments.

Assist in conducting monthly staff meetings.

Monitor cost control programs for housekeeping labor and supplies.

Maintain a high level of employee morale.

Complete daily housekeeping labor standards in order to monitor labor controls.

The ability to control all departmental costs including labor, guest room supplies and cleaning supplies, yet ensure services rendered the guests are of the highest standards.

Establish and maintain accurate inventory records on guestroom and cleaning supplies, equipment, linens and uniforms.

Maintain accurate records on all housekeeping staff and up to date payroll records, submitting transmittal sheets to the payroll department weekly.

Schedule and conduct monthly staff meetings to maintain good communication and high morale within the department.

Work with all staff in Housekeeping in maintaining all areas in top quality to ensure the highest guest satisfaction and to meet corporate standards and policies of Four Seasons
