Nature & Purpose of Position Assists the Director and Associate Director with various initiatives and objectives. Performs complex managerial work providing direction and guidance in operations and planning within the department. Primary Responsibilities Responsible for the oversight of Student Account Receivables. Provides direction and training of student account services staff and departments on funds acceptance. Provides guidance and training on student identification (Bearkat OneCard) services. Assists the Director and Associate Director in Student Account Services operations. Serves as the Student Account Receivables lead for any hardware or software implementation, upgrade, or patches impacting Student Account Services. Provides leadership to the department by ensuring customer needs are met with efficient services that are timely and appropriate. Handles escalated customer issues. Develops, implements, and evaluates procedure manuals and ensures that System and University policies and state and federal regulations are upheld. Oversees front line operations. Assists with the beginning of term processes. Oversees the Payment Agreement process. Participates in strategic planning. Involved in website updates. Identifies areas of needed change and makes recommendations to improve operations. Serves as a departmental representative in meetings. Will work with other departments across campus. Must be able to establish and maintain good working relationships. Attends and preside over other functions within Student Account Services in absence of another assistant director or at Associate Director and/or Director’s request.
