THE JOB:
The Assistant Director of Housekeeping supports the overall leadership and direction of the Housekeeping, EVS and uniforms team in alignment with the MGM Resorts brand. This role is responsible for assisting in the achievement of operational goals, monitoring team performance, scheduling, and training to ensure service excellence. The position upholds high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction, contributing to an exceptional guest experience in accordance with company policies and procedures.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Oversee the development and monitoring of the housekeeping department’s fiscal budget and guest service standards to support both short-term and long-term profitability.
Implement and maintain policies, standard operating procedures, training programs, directives, work schedules, and departmental rules in response to business needs.
Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel, and coach housekeeping staff to ensure efficient department operations.
Promote employee engagement through ongoing coaching, training, and professional development initiatives.
Ensure an exceptional guest experience within the housekeeping department, in alignment with company service standards.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience and 4+ years of prior relevant experience
4+ years of prior relevant experience in managing employees in a similar hotel environment, Including at least 3 years in housekeeping operations management
Technical knowledge and experience with HotSOS or other service optimization system
