Job Description:
This position is accountable for specifications issued by the Federal Aviation Administration such as identifying, formulating, and implementing aviation maintenance processes, policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions
Manages maintenance services and asset control. This includes day-to-day operation, aircraft specific inspections as dictated by manufacturer and FAA directives. Accountable for parts inventory and documentation of parts utilization. Oversees physical building and vehicles that support the Repair Station. Responsible for the content, currency, and dissemination and of all written materials related to aviation maintenance.Reviews benchmark data and provides leadership in reaching or exceeding industry standards. Proactively identifies best practices and regulation changes in the aviation maintenance field and implements needed changes into policies and processes. Actively participates in the quality improvement program.Oversees the effective management of human resource programs, identifies staffing needs, and develops and maintains a professional staffing model with qualified technicians. Oversees recruiting, hiring, terminating, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, and scheduling of maintenance technicians. Coaches and mentors direct reports. Assists with other challenging HR issues as needed.Accountable for budgetary oversight of the department.Acts as a role model through the demonstration of personal professional development, continuous learning, and competency improvement. Oversees all training and education programs for technicians. Participates in and contributes to educational offerings and visibility in professional organizations.Develops and implements a culture of safety by ensuring proper policies and procedures are in place. Enforces those policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements from Intermountain, accrediting entities, government agencies and other applicable regulating bodiesBuilds a cohesive maintenance team and promotes engagementSkills

Current Federal Aviation Airframe & Power Plant license. Demonstrated and progressive Supervisory/Leadership experience.Demonstrated aviation maintenance experience.Working knowledge of both fixed wing and rotor wing aircraft and respective turbine engines.Preferred Qualifications
Five years or more of aviation maintenance experience. Three years or more of Supervisory/Leadership experience.Multiple Aircraft Qualified with Factory Training on Fixed wing (B200 King Air) and Helicopter (Augusta A109).Structural and Sheet metal experience.Advanced Troubleshooting Training/Experience.Physical Requirements:
