The hiring salary for this position will be from the min to mid-point of the salary range.
The Assistant Director supports the Registrar’s office as an advocate for CSM’s transfer services. This position oversees transfer services by maintaining relationships with other colleges and universities, maintaining up-to-date resources, conducting transfer information workshops, and assisting students and advisors with transfer information as needed. The Assistant Director works closely with the Division of Learning in the creation and review of articulation agreements and in monitoring transfer agreements by CSM and the receiving institution. As a part of the college’s strategic planning and SEM council, the Assistant Director will serve as a resource providing data and references to state and national transfer initiatives, as well as support and guide conversations connecting our Achieving the Dream work with articulation and transfer. In addition, this position works closely with the Completion Coordinator to ensure that graduating students have all appropriate transfer and prior learning credits on their academic record.

40% Transfer Services
Oversees the Transfer with Success Act processes to ensure compliance with both incoming and outgoing transfer credits.Serves as institution administrator for ARTSYS/Quottly and TES transfer evaluation databases.Assists with tracking all credit denials and coordinates with appropriate offices to compile a report for annual reporting to MHEC. Oversees and participates in the transcript evaluation process which includes, training of the Transfer staff, documenting the transcript evaluation process, communicating with division chairs as necessary and handling transfer appeals.Serves as backup for the Transcript Coordinator as necessary and ensures timely transcript evaluation and follow-up with students.Serve as college point-of-contact for resolving transfer-related issues with four-year institutions.Identify training and skills gaps and conduct Transfer Advising Training for Faculty Advisors, Academic Advisors, and the college community in general.Plan transfer events, such as Transfer Fairs, Transfer Thursdays, on-campus visits, and other events as needed. Represents the College as the transfer advocate for all affinity groups related to transfer and articulation. Format and submit data for the National Student Clearinghouse on program transfer trends.Serve as a faculty resource for determining transferability of coursework and general education guidelines.Manage Permission to Enroll at Another Institution requests to UMD for students participating in the University of Maryland College Park Air Force ROTC Program.40% Articulation Agreements
Serve as the Point of Contact for all articulation agreements. Provide college leadership on the development and renewal of general and program-specific institutional partnership agreements and memoranda of understanding.Assist with the development of new articulation agreements and maintain database of existing agreements, including contact information and start and end dates of agreements.Participates in meetings with representatives from four-year institutions and other organizations; works with CSM program faculty to negotiate details of pathway agreements.Maintain the Transfer Events, Articulation Agreement, and Transfer Equivalencies webpages.Coordinate with Marketing to develop promotional materials for articulation agreements and transfer partnerships.Create and manage Transfer Plans in Colleague.Review and analyze data, outcomes, and other variables to guide improvements in the program.Makes suggestions and recommendations for articulations to the VP of Student Equity and Success and the VP of the Division of Learning based on student and advisor feedback. Reviews articulation agreements ensuring that all general education requirements are met, and suggested courses are transferrable.Serves on the Curriculum and Instruction committee. Provides guidance on transfer issues and monitors changes to CSM academic programs to ensure accuracy of articulation agreements.Work closely with division chairs, program coordinators, and faculty to review and identify articulation issues and needs.Ensure that articulations and proposals are administered and managed in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.Monitors articulation agreements for CSM compliance and notifies appropriate leadership when compliance has not been met.Assist with the development of new pre-transfer partnerships and maintain database of existing pre-transfer partnerships.10% Credit for Prior Learning
Oversee the Credit for prior learning processes and procedures, working closely with the Completion Coordinator.Submit data to Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) on Prior Learning Examinations.10% Staff Administration
Supervises the Transcript Coordinator and Transfer Specialist to ensure goals and objectives are met.Maintain Transfer Services staff scheduling.Assists with Director duties as needed.Monitors the Registrar’s Office calendar to ensure timely and adequate preparation and execution of projects and events and reports are run when needed.Represents the Registrar’s Office on college committees as requested.Responsible for providing customer service and accurate information in the area of transfer services to students and internal staff.Other duties as assigned by the Registrar and/or Director.Additional Duties:
