The OpportunityThe Assistant Dean serves as the primary driver to ensure a meaningful and impactful experience and academic journey for Hult graduate students in the Global Online MBA program. In this role, you will be driving program excellence, enhancing student satisfaction, shaping student success, and aligning academic initiatives with our broader institutional vision. Role Summary The Assistant Dean is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Global Online MBA program ensuring a seamless and engaging teaching and learning experience by overseeing faculty coordination within the program and fostering student success. This is a multi-function role incorporating project management, operations and administration, student advising, faculty support, course development and delivery support, and external stakeholder management. This role blends academic leadership with operational oversight to support institutional effectiveness and student success. This position will report directly to the Dean for the Online MBA, DBA, & Partnership Programs. Role Description As the Assistant Dean, you will play a central role in managing, planning and delivery of the Online MBA. Collaborating closely with institutional leadership, you will help align program goals with strategic priorities. Your role will also involve analyzing student performance data to drive continuous academic improvement and contributing to the development and refinement of academic policies and quality assurance processes. You will also be responsible for managing and mentoring academic support staff, ensuring the team operates efficiently and in alignment with institutional values. Key Responsibilities Program Management: Manage daily academic operations to ensure seamless delivery of established curriculum. Work alongside program faculty to ensure a globally diverse representation of cases and speakers within assigned program(s), as well as inclusion of ESG topics in line with established global expectations for each program. Support the Dean and faculty to secure corporate business challenge clients and serve as a liaison for external clients to ensure a well-coordinated experience. Serve as the bridge between academics, campus and student life, careers, visas, and enrolment teams to ensure a coordinated and seamless student experience from pre-matriculation through to graduation.Faculty Administration- Act as a key point of contact for faculty teaching in the Global Online MBA program, ensuring timely and high-quality course preparation and delivery. Ensure seamless coordination and collaboration between faculty teaching in the same program across time zones and cohorts. Address faculty questions in accordance with institutional policies and procedures. Support Dean with recruiting and onboarding of new faculty and planning and execution of faculty meetings.Student Skill Development - Support the planning and delivery of workshops to support core skills development. Monitor and evaluate the integration and adoption of external learning platforms such as Mindflick, Coursera and Harmonize to enhance student engagement and skills development. Student Success – In collaboration with the Registrar and Program Team, monitor student academic progress and student engagement to identify at-risk students early, implement support interventions, and contribute to initiatives that enhance student satisfaction, retention, and overall academic success. Manage student and team concerns, conflicts, issues, and mitigating circumstances and escalate to Dean when necessary. Provide some advising and support to Hult staff members in the EMEA region pursuing the online MBA.Community Engagement – Plan and participate in online MBA student orientation including coordinating student communications. In conjunction with assigned campus teams, support with graduation, student-organized, alumni and other major campus events. Support PG enrollment initiatives by actively participating in online and on-campus recruitment and retention events. Note that some events may require evening and weekend engagement. Support with the development of program presentation materials for prospective, confirmed, and matriculated students. Support with the Dean and program team with the planning and execution of global in person summits and other events which may include international travel.Program Development and Continuous Improvement - Contribute to program planning and continuous program development aligned with institutional goals. Stay abreast of and encourage the use of teaching innovations and best practices in new and emerging technologies. Review and identify trends based on established student feedback mechanisms to monitor and continually improve the program experience.Policy and Process Development – In coordination with the central academic and operations team, contribute to the development and refinement of academic policies and quality assurance frameworks. Serve on local and global committees and working groups as needed.Team Management and Support - Mentor and guide other program team membersto be able to assist assigned program faculty with administrative course support, preparation and logistics, including but not limited to: collecting and organizing syllabi, building and maintaining of course pages in conjunction with the faculty, course updates.to ensure the maintenance of accurate faculty data and ensure course pages are up to date, aligned with academic standards, and subject to regular quality assurance reviews.Other duties as assigned

On campus requirement - This position requires on-campus presence at least 4 days a week. When weekend online MBA course support is required, on-campus days may be adjusted for the week prior or immediately after the weekend online course and must be coordinated in advance with the Dean of Online Programs. Note that the WFH allowance is subject to change in accordance with School review.
Qualifications and Competencies:Candidates should hold a master’s degree in a relevant field. Doctorate preferred for Associate Dean title. Appropriate and extensive industry experience may substitute for qualifications.Demonstrable experience in a student facing role in a virtual setting.Support Hult’s vision of global education and embrace the benefits of cultural diversity.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and professionally with faculty, staff, and students of different cultures in a virtual setting.Native English speaker or similar level of proficiency in written and spoken English.Comfortable and excel with written, oral, and presentation skills.Proven track record and commitment to outstanding customer service.Skilled with database management (familiarity with Salesforce and Canvas preferred) and strong comprehension of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and possess a high level of competence with technology required to run and coordinate online programs.Highly analytical with excellent project management capabilities.High attention to detail and exceptionally well organized.Proactive, results-oriented, and strong problem-solving skills with a ‘nothing is impossible’ attitude and entrepreneurial spirit.Ability to balance long-term planning with short-term objectives.Creative and innovative, with an ability to conceptualize and implement processes to enhance student and faculty experience.Flexible, thrive under pressure, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.Personable, persuasive, and a strong influencer, with the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships.Collegial attitude and able to work collaboratively across teams and campuses.
