Part Time | Pay: $14.86 Hourly | Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm (Off Saturday & Sunday)

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Responsible for providing high-quality, fresh food to guests at eating establishments. You will report to the Center Supervisor.

 Primary Tasks:

Prepare various ingredients including washing, chopping, slicing, and peeling of fruits and vegetables.

Follow standardized recipes and methods to prepare meals that are properly cooked, tasty and visually appealing.

Taste food before serving and provides garnishes for food plates.

Follow established food preparation procedures and converted portion guidelines to control waste levels.

Practice proper food storage and adheres to suitable food serving temperatures.

Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment by practicing proper housekeeping procedure cleaning while working.

Set-up, service, and clean-up of food production.

Rotate stock to ensure usage and disposal occurs before the expiration date.

Engage children in meal and snack service within the classroom. 

Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements:

Food Handlers LicenseAbility to work independently with minimum directionAbility to maintain accurate written records, and perform mathematical calculations accuratelyOne year experience in a licensed childcare facility kitchen, commercial kitchen, public school cafeteria, or equivalent
