Assistant Controller - Boutique Private Equity
Description Controller - Boutique Private Equity. Our client is looking for an experienced accounting / reporting professional to join their team in Greenwich, Connecticut. This role is ideal for an accomplished individual with a strong background in private equity and financial management. The successful candidate will oversee critical financial operations and ensure compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities: • Manage all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and reporting, to maintain organizational efficiency. • Oversee private equity investments and ensure accurate financial reporting for all related activities. • Implement financial controls and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry requirements. • Analyze financial data to provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership. • Prepare detailed financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders. • Collaborate with auditors to ensure successful completion of financial audits. • Monitor cash flow and manage capital to support the organization's operational and investment strategies. • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including banks and investors Requirements Requirements: • A minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting / reporting, with a focus on private equity. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis. • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements. • Proven leadership skills. • Experience working with auditors and preparing comprehensive financial reports. • A bachelor's degree in accounting, and a CPA certification is preferred.
