Position Summary:
we are partnering with a manufacturing company in southeastern Wisconsin who is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to support our finance and accounting operations. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, and financial reporting. The Assistant Controller will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial data, supporting audits, and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Oversee cost accounting functions, including standard cost development, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including analysis of actual vs. budget performance.Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.Coordinate and support internal and external audits.Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to analyze production costs and improve financial performance.Assist in ERP system maintenance and enhancements related to financial modules.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing operations.Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.Familiarity with multi-site or global manufacturing operations.Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, data modeling).What We Offer:Competitive salary and performance-based incentivesComprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.)Opportunities for career advancement within a growing companyA collaborative and innovative work environmentPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
