Job Responsibilities:

Recognized accounting designation (CMA or CA)

Minimum 5 years general accounting experience in a  manufacturing environment

A strong grasp of standard cost development, absorption and cost analysis is a must.

Experience with integrated financial / manufacturing software packages

Competency in Microsoft Office PC software package - Excel, Word and Access

Strong attention to detail and strong organization skills

Experience in managing payroll function.

Experience in managing tooling inventory.

Good interpersonal skills, combined with a strong drive for continuous improvement

Experience preparing business cases, budgets and forecasts

Knowledge and experience with foreign exchange hedging.

Ability to work effectively within team environment

Ability to uphold confidentiality

Ability to work well under variable workload and work overtime to meet customer needs

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform all duties and promote themselves in a manner that reflects the P&F expectations, P&F’s vision/ values through Magna’s Employee Charter.Follow and abide by all government, Legal, Magna and P&F rules and regulations as outlined in the Employee Handbook.Supervise Finance staff.Trains staff on proper company proceduresAssists with managing all aspects of the General LedgerDevelopment of system controls to ensure data integrityAssist in the Month-end and year-end financial reporting and close activities for the  plantAssist in the preparation of annual plant and capital budgetsAssist in preparation of various financial statements and reports according to rules and regulations of law and companyDevelopment of operational procedures and documentation of data flowResponsible for managing operational data ensuring data integrity and accuracyEnsure compliance with relevant MAGNA policies and proceduresSupport budgeting and forecasting process for cost of sales. Prepare or support preparation of all required analysis as directed to meet dictated schedule timelinesPrepare adhoc reports as required by Senior Management or CorporateEnsures that proper internal controls are established and maintainedApplies accounting expertise to ensure financial records & statements are in accordance with GAAP and Magna Finance PolicyFollow and abide by all government, Legal, Magna and P&F Tool and Die rules and regulations.Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.Safeguard all financial/personnel documents and keep all financial/personnel matters private and confidential.Develop and maintain good procedures and systems for all required financial tracking.Protect the assets of the company by continual review and awareness of internal control issues, with appropriate recommendations for improvements.Co-ordinate the preparation of information for entry into the accounting system.Ensure that all applicable general ledger accounts are reconciled / analyzed to a level acceptable to both internal and external audit tests.Provides month end financial reports for review with management.Assists with preparing referenced year end audit file for reviewProvides assistance with business planning and department budgeting
