**About the Role:**
CBRE Investment Accounting & Reporting Solutions is expanding! We are currently seeking a highly motivated **Assistant Controller** to join our dynamic team in Luxembourg. Reporting directly to the **Senior Controller or Director** , you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of our Luxembourg-based SPVs.
**What You’ll Do:**
+ Manage day-to-day accounting activities for Luxembourg SPVs.
+ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, along with client reporting packages.
+ Assist in the preparation of income statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
+ Review and verify journal entries and accounting classifications.
+ Investigate and resolve accounting issues in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
+ Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes.
+ Oversee VAT packages and CIT/MBT/NWT/WHT returns in cooperation with external tax advisors.
+ Perform bank reconciliations, daily cash management, and bi-weekly cash flow forecasting.
+ Maintain accurate general ledger records and aggregate financial data at the portfolio level.
+ Coordinate external audits and ensure timely completion.
+ Interpret contracts and legal documents to accurately record complex transactions.
+ Support cross-functional reporting processes across funds and geographies.
+ Contribute to ad hoc projects and group-wide initiatives.
**What You’ll Need:**
+ A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
+ Minimum of **5 years’ relevant accounting experience** .
+ Fluency in English (French is a plus).
+ Strong analytical and organizational skills.
+ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
+ Proficiency in GAAP and financial reporting principles.
+ Ability to perform financial analysis and interpret complex data.
