Assistant Controller

LinkedIn: Jonathan Christian (JC) del Rosario A leading private investment firm is looking for a Senior Fund Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller to join its high-performing finance team. Responsibilities + Oversee fund and general partner (GP) accounting, including investment transactions, accruals, and inter-entity activity + Prepare and review financial statements and investor reporting packages on a quarterly and annual basis + Manage fund cash flows, including capital calls, distributions, and related documentation + Collaborate with fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings + Review work prepared by third-party service providers (e.g., NAVs, capital account statements, financial reports) + Partner with Investor Relations to support limited partner inquiries and capital activity What The Company Offers + Competitive compensation package, including base salary and annual bonus + Full medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage + 401(k) plan with firm contribution or profit sharing + Catered meals and office perks on in-office days + Hybrid work structure supporting flexibility and work-life balance Requirements Qualifications + 9+ years of accounting experience, ideally starting in public accounting, with 4–6+ years in venture capital, private equity, or similar investment management environments + Deep understanding of investment partnership accounting and fund structures + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with systems like AltaReturn/Allvue or Microsoft NAV is a strong plus + Highly organized with strong attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative setting Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
