Women’s Softball Assistant CoachSkidmore College – Athletics, Fitness and Recreation Department
Skidmore College’s department of Athletics, Fitness and Recreation invites applications for a 9-month (part-time) position as Assistant Coach for Women’s Softball. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a competitive NCAA Division III program while gaining hands-on coaching and administrative experience.
This position is renewable. Some weekend and evening hours are required.
Responsibilities include: Assisting with all aspects of daily practices, training sessions, and game preparation; Coaching and mentoring student-athletes in a competitive, inclusive environment; Recruiting prospective student-athletes in alignment with the values and academic standards of Skidmore College; Scouting opponents and contributing to game strategy; Overseeing the team’s social media presence and content creation; Supporting team operations including equipment room responsibilities and home game management; Building positive relationships and communicating effectively with student-athletes, families, faculty, staff, and alumni; Other duties as assigned by the head coach
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree, Collegiate Softball playing experience, Strong Communication, organizational and leadership skills, Commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes, Current CPR and AED certification or ability to obtain
Preferred Qualifications: Collegiate coaching experience, Comfortable breaking down game and individual film
Pay Rate: $15,000
