Delaware North Sportservice is searching for an Assistant Catering Manager to join our team at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. Pay

Minimum \u2013 Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $64,350 - $64,350 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?Work closely with the Catering Manager to develop and maintain guest relationshipsAssists with booking, set-up, and tear down, and full execution of catered eventsMaintain established food presentation and service standards, providing ongoing developments based upon current trends in the catering industryMaintain an organized system of comprehensive record-keeping for each catered event, local event days, monthly inventory, requisitions, as well as appropriate levels of related catering supplies and decorations in keeping with the seasonsAssist with recruitment for hourly team members, including working with the Talent Acquisition team to pre-screen candidates, conduct interviews, and identify individuals for hire

More about youMinimum 2 years’ related experience, as well as previous experience with restaurant or banquet operations, guest service, recruiting, and trainingNo college degree requiredFamiliar with the hospitality or entertainment industryStrong communication, organizational skills, and customer service skillsMake informed decisions from analyzed dataExperience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the ability to learn catering software

Physical requirementsCapacity to stand and walk during shift, ability to move inventory, products, carts, and tables, as well as use kitchen utensils and commercial kitchen equipmentPossible exposure to variable temperatures and wet and humid conditions
