Assistant Branch Manager
Description We are looking for a dedicated and customer-oriented Assistant Branch Manager to support the daily operations of our branch in Bellevue, WA, ensuring both employees and customers receive exceptional service. In this role, you will work closely with the Branch Manager to oversee branch activities, mentor team members, and foster a positive banking experience for customers. As a key part of the leadership team, you will help drive operational excellence and team performance while maintaining a customer-first approach. This is a 3-month contract opportunity with potential for permanent employment. Responsibilities: • Support the Branch Manager in supervising, mentoring, and developing branch employees to meet performance goals and deliver outstanding service. • Assist in scheduling, training, and onboarding team members, ensuring they are knowledgeable about bank policies, procedures, and products. • Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and growth. • Act as a role model for exceptional customer service by building strong relationships, addressing client needs, and resolving escalated issues promptly. • Promote the bank’s products and services, educating customers on offerings that best align with their financial goals. • Ensure daily branch operations are conducted efficiently and in compliance with bank regulations, policies, and security protocols. • Monitor and manage branch cash flow, including balancing the vault, verifying cash transactions, and spot-checking teller drawers. • Assist with the execution of opening and closing procedures, coordinating proper security protocols. • Support sales initiatives by identifying cross-selling opportunities for services such as loans, credit accounts, and savings products. • Partner with the Branch Manager to develop and execute growth strategies that drive branch performance. • Address customer or operational issues swiftly and escalate more complex matters to the Branch Manager when required. • Assist in maintaining accurate records, completing reports, and ensuring branch activities are well-documented. • Support audits and compliance checks, ensuring the branch operates within regulatory requirements. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in banking or a leadership role in customer service. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster trust and rapport with clients and employees. • Problem-solving and decision-making skills, including the ability to resolve conflicts effectively. • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to manage branch operations and projects. • Familiarity with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite and banking software.
