Assistant Behavior Analyst
Salary: $28 - $36 /per hour


Assistant Behavior Analyst– Masters Clinical Level assists service recipients attain the goals of the individual care plan and sustain positive behavioral changes and improvement in functionality and quality of life.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrates support of all outcomes for service recipients supported. Identity, Autonomy, Affiliation, Attainment, Safeguards, Rights, and Health and WellnessFor Masters/Clinical level: In accordance with applicable Individual Care Plans, Intensive In-Home evaluations, Biopsychosocial Needs Assessment, CSOC Information Management Decision Support (IMDS) Tool; Strengths and Needs Assessment, CSOC Information Management Decision Support (IMDS) Tool; Other assessment tools as indicated; clinicians must be familiar with the array of considerations that would indicate preferred assessment methods over others, provide interventions including, but not limited to:Implementation of individualized service planIndividual, family and group counselinInstruction in learning adaptive frustration tolerance and expression, which may include anger managementInstruction in stress reduction techniquesProblem solving skill developmentPsycho-educational services to improve decision making skills to manage behavior and reduce risk behaviorsPositive Behavioral SupportsSocial skills developmentTrauma informed counselingImplementation of identified strategies in the individualized Behavioral Support plan, if applicableProviding coordinated support with agency staff and participating as part of the clinical teamCollaborating effectively with professionals from other disciplines that are also supporting the youth, including but not limited to: education, clinicians, physicians, etc.Recommendations for referrals for medical, dental, neurological or other identified evaluationsAny direct care provider may not provide interventions requiring skills, experience, credentials and licensure other than those allowed under the appropriate licensing regulationsMust be able to safely address complex needs and challenging behaviors including but not limited to: noncompliance to verbal/written directions, tantrums, elopement, property destruction, physical/verbal aggression, self-injurious behaviors, and inappropriate sexual behaviorMaintains flexibility in clinical modalities and applies according to client’s needs and abilities. Use of play, art, music techniques can be provided if indicatedListens to and responds to the needs of service recipients, parents/guardians, area program staff, and agency managementDocuments all activities in accordance with federal, state, and local requirementsTransports service recipients as needed and clinically indicatedCompletes all mandated supervision and training and maintain as requiredCommunicates in a professional manner with service recipients, employers, parents/guardians, area program staff, and agency staffAdvocates for service recipients in all situationsAbides by all agency policies and proceduresPerforms job duties in accordance with agency mission and valuesPerforms other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s Degree in a related field, such as Social Work, Psychology, CounselingMust meet all federal, state, and local requirementsAt least one year of experience in providing clinical services for individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilitiesMust be 21 years of age or older and have no history of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of children or vulnerable adults. At least one year of documented experience with children, preferably with behavioral, emotional, or learning issuesReliable transportation (including valid driver’s license, insurance, vehicle registration, and acceptable driving record within company insurance guidelines) is highly preferred so service recipients can be transported if needed.Ability to work as a member of a team, to complete tasks as instructed, be receptive to new ideas and be creative in solving problems.
