Position: Full-Time Assistant Athletic Trainer Location: Onsite Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year Junípero Serra High School is a Catholic college preparatory for boys. Reports to: Head Athletic Trainer, Athletic Director and Assistant Principal: Student Life Duties: The Assistant Athletic Trainer works under the supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer and supervises the care of student athletes competing in the Department of Athletics at Junipero Serra High School. The assistant athletic trainer is responsible for the prevention, evaluation, management and rehabilitation of both short and long term injuries. Responsibilities: The Assistant Athletic Trainer reports to and provides professional assistance to the Head Athletic Trainer by providing athletic training services on an ongoing basis while helping to ensure attainment of the school’s unique Catholic mission: to educate men of faith, wisdom, service, community and leadership. ? Provides care to the student athletic population including emergency care, assessment, management, treatment and rehabilitation when necessary. ? Is professionally licensed to use mechanical stimulation, heat, cold, light, air, water, massage and therapeutic exercises in the course and scope of this job. ? Provides prevention, recognition and immediate care and treatment of athletic related injuries. ? Develops and cultivates contacts with referring physicians, businesses, coaches and other referral sources. ? H
