Collegiate Sports Position Summary: William Penn University is seeking a dynamic and organized professional to serve as the Assistant Athletic Director for Gameday Operations. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for fans, student-athletes, and staff on game days. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of gameday logistics, ticketing, promotions, facility operations, branding, and staffing, serving as a key leader within the athletic department.Essential Job Functions:
-Lead and execute all Game Day Marketing and Promotions initiatives to boost fan engagement and enhance the university’s athletic brand.
-Direct and coordinate facility set-up and breakdown for all athletic events, ensuring a smooth and professional environment.
-Manage the entire Athletic Ticketing Program, including strategic planning and day-to-day operations.
-Serve as the primary liaison with Mahaska County Recreation Foundation (MCRF), coordinating facility scheduling and exploring opportunities to enhance the concessions program. Participate in facility maintenance and development discussions.
-Oversee the department's use of Box Out graphics to maintain branding consistency and ensure timely and engaging content.
-Manage and update the William Penn Athletics App, using it as a platform for communication, promotions, and fan engagement.
-Oversee all aspects of the Team Store, including inventory control, promotional sales, and customer service.
-Act as the liaison with Musco Sports Lighting, coordinating videoboard content, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
-Coordinate staffing and scheduling for the Penn Activity Center (PAC), ensuring coverage and quality service for all events and operations.
-Serve as Game Day Administrator, facilitating communication across departments and ensuring efficient execution of all gameday logistics.
-Supervise and mentor Graduate Assistants, overseeing their assignments and fostering professional development.
-Assist in facility scheduling, maximizing the use and efficiency of athletic spaces.
-Perform other duties as assigned in support of the athletic department’s overall mission and operations.
