Masters Wagner College, an NCAA Division I (Football Championship Subdivision) institution, and member of the Northeast Conference, has an immediate opening for a full time Assistant Athletic Trainer position. Full Time Assistant Athletic Trainer sporting assignment will be Field Hockey and Softball.

The position(s) will require evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for athletes of assigned team(s), maintaining health records and proper injury/illness documentation. In addition, the chosen candidate will be responsible for general athletic training room coverage/maintenance, coverage of practice and competition for the assigned sport(s) (including travel, nights, weekends, holidays, etc.), collaboration with team physicians and other allied healthcare professionals, communication with administrators, coaches, and student-athletes regarding student-athlete health status. Additional duties will be required as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer. The incumbent will be required to maintain certification through the Board of Certification, licensure through the New York State Office of the Professions, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFACTIONS

- Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or related field.

- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.

- Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) through the Board of Certification at the time of hire.

- New York State Licensure, or eligible.

- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's Degree in Athletic Training or related field. 

- 1-3 years post-certification experience as a practicing Athletic Trainer. 

- Experience working in NCAA Athletics

- Additional relevant certifications (IASTM,FMS, etc.)
