We are constructing a state-of-the-art underground mine to enable the extraction of Polyhalite – a unique multi-nutrient fertiliser – along with the necessary infrastructure both above and below ground that will be required for transport, processing, and distribution.
POLY4 is our flagship multi-nutrient fertiliser product. Made from polyhalite, it contains four of the six macro-nutrients and many micronutrients that are essential to plant growth. It allows farmers to maximize their crop yield, increase quality and improve soil structure with one simple product.
Job DescriptionJoin us as an Assistant Accountant, on a 12 month FTC where you will be part of the Crop Nutrients Finance team who support the wider business to ensure that they can meet the needs of stakeholders, whilst meeting their own strategic objectives and support the business growth. Providing analysis and reports to enable the business to plan their resources to deliver the project on timely and safe manor. Also supplying up stream reporting to the wider Anglo group performance against objectives.
This role will also have a functional relationship with the Group Tax team in respect of ensuring Group standards are upheld. Group Tax is a global function which seeks to drive value and contribute to commercial success by proactively managing tax risk by comprehensively meeting our worldwide tax compliance obligations and always aim to pay the right amount of tax at the right time.
Your responsibilities will include:
The preparation of tax related financial numbers to be used in annual statutory and group reporting.Collaborating with Group tax to prepare direct and indirect tax returns for Crop Nutrients.Assist with ad hoc tax related projects as required.Update and reconcile SAP bank account information Post and update cash book entries across overseas bank accounts Validate bank details and approve payment runs in SAP system Check and authorise payments in UK and overseas bank accounts for the BU for vendors, tax payments, and other ad hoc payments as required Check and approve quarterly Certain Rent and large landowner lease amounts payment Create and issue Sales and Internal recharge invoices, including payrollProvide treasury and bookkeeping support, information and reporting to our overseas entities. Coordinate information to support ONS (Office of National Statistics) survey returns Check and balance down payments and payments on account Maintain administration for Company Barclaycard – including personal data, credit limits, security blocks.
