**Overview**
**Role Purpose**
We have an exciting opening for an **Assistant Accountant** to join our talented and diverse team. You will assist in providing accurate and timely financial services to support the daily operation and financial reporting of business units within Publicis Media Australia. You will join our small but mighty team of Finance talents and work under the guidance of our Financial Controller, whilst having autonomy and opportunity to sink your teeth into deeper finance responsibilities.
Furthermore, our Groupe’s connected platform will enable you to fulfil career ambitions in a business large enough to accommodate them.
**Day to day you’ll be:**
+ Working collaboratively with Agency Finance teams and SSC GL team on month-end reporting.
+ Assisting rolling forecast and annual commitment reporting.
+ Assisting the quarterly Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reporting.
+ Coordinating new supplier/client set-up.
+ Coordinating supplier payment, which includes raising Purchase Orders and organizing the posting of invoices, and liaising with SSC Accounts Payable team should there be any issue or queries.
+ Coordinating client sundry invoices billing.
+ Ad Hoc finance tasks as required.
**The person we’re looking for has:**
+ Diploma or Bachelor of Business/Accounting (preferred, though not essential).
+ Approach tasks and responsibilities with a growth mindset and be keen to learn.
+ Experience in a similar role or be ready to step up into a deeper finance role with more accountability.
+ Strong Excel Skills and ability to manage large volume of data utilising pivot tables.
+ Be a self-starter, who can manage their time effectively and work with minimal supervision.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Excellent attention to detail.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and approach all situations with integrity and trust.
+ Actively develop and maintain strong working relationships.
+ Maintain communication and behaviour standards that foster a culture of strong financial services and collaboration.
+ Knowledge and experience in the financial software SAP (preferred, though not essential).
+ Experience within media/advertising industry (preferred, though not essential).
