About the Role:
Associate Account Manager – Wholesale Broker/ Financial Lines
We’re looking for an Associate Account Executive who thrives in a client-focused environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding service. You’ll manage a portfolio of Small and Medium-sized accounts and retail agent relationships centering on Professional Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Management Liability, Technology Errors & Omissions and Cyber insurance placements; including digital distribution platforms.
In this role, you will handle a broad range of daily activities independently utilizing technical expertise and product knowledge to ensure that insurance placements are comprehensive, up-to-date, and tailored to client needs.
Location: This role will be a hybrid position, offering three days in office and two days work from home. Our offices are currently located at 5 Bryant Park, 4th Floor New York, NY 10018 and 1000 Woodbury Road
Woodbury, NY 11797. The chosen candidate can report to either location.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and service a book of financial lines insurance renewal accounts
Provide consultative services to retail agents
Prepare and review submissions
Market placement of accounts to underwriters/insurer trading partners
Provide quotes, process renewals, and handle policy changes
Present Renewal Proposal’s
Review and process premium invoices/billing inquiries for assigned accounts
Maintain communication with underwriters and retail agents
Build and maintain strong relationships with retail agents and insurance carriers
Respond to client inquiries with professionalism and urgency
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal procedures
Education and Technical Qualifications/ Skills and experience that will lead to success:
University graduate, with 2-5 years working experience
Knowledge of financial lines insurance
Good command of computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Working independently and creatively but also working collaboratively as part of a team
Knowledge of broking
Good problem solving and analytical abilities
Accurate, timely and comfortable with deadlines
Selling skills helpful along with ability to make recommendations for cross selling
Working knowledge of inter-company operations, i.e.: Broker, Sales, Underwriting Marketing, and Accounting
Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000, with additional bonus opportunity available based on individual and company performance. This total compensation will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
